Before this CBC certification, my work primarily centered on life coaching and energy healing for the last 7 years. My specialty is “empowerment” where I help people overcome blocks and barriers preventing them from living life to their full potential. My approach is holistic where I address mind, body, and spirit.
Prior to that, I spent 20+ years in the corporate world where I accelerated growth and expansion for individuals, clients, and organizations, leveraging exceptional assessment, strategy, communications, and implementation skills.
In the last few years, I felt restless and unfulfilled in my work and lacked motivation. I questioned if I really wanted to pursue a coaching career or go back into the business world. I was torn. I loved the elements of each of these worlds. I wondered how I could retain the great sense of satisfaction I get from helping people transform their lives in significant ways while feeding my love of business and larger communities. I seriously debated going back to work for a corporation, rekindling my excitement around strategy, innovation, communications, and culture. The thought of it was enticing, but it didn’t stir my soul. I kept asking the Universe for some guidance and to “show me” direction.
And then…Vishen popped up in my Instagram feed talking about the CBC program. Without thinking I signed up for the longer information session and within 5 minutes of hearing Vishen and Ajit speak about the program I signed up. Didn’t even think about it, was a done deal. This was the way to bridge my two worlds! This was the Universe showing me how it could manifest.
The program resonated with me from day 1. Even though I was previously certified as an SI Life Coach, the content in this course was so relevant and practical. From the very first lab with Fran, I felt a connection between her and the amazing community. Authenticity, play, connection, heart-centered…I have experienced these things through my own client work but wondered if was this possible in the business world???
Thanks to this program I now know this to be true. Between the content and the amazing leadership through Ajit, the coaches, and this phenomenal community, I now have a completely different frame of reference for my coaching practice. Throughout the program, I used many of the techniques and strategies with my existing clients to help them flourish in their businesses. I see first-hand the power of combining coaching and consulting. I even experienced many shifts in my own world as I worked through the modules.
For me what was the most life-changing coming out of this program was coming at business coaching from a very different perspective. Sure, there are practical elements and challenges that all businesses face, but at the end of the day, business is about human beings. I just need to show up as my authentic self with the desire to serve from my heart.
The world is a little nutty right now and I feel even more inspired to make a significant contribution by helping people, and their businesses, reach their highest potential.
