Before signing up for Certified Business Coach I had a lot of self-doubts about my place in the world, my career, and how I could be of service to others in a fulfilling way. Following a successful finance and consulting career, my life was thrown into chaos with the arrival of my daughter who was born with a life-limiting birth injury. Becoming a full-time caregiver put an emergency stop on the career I had worked so hard to create and left me questioning who I was without it. So much of my feelings of self-worth I discovered had been attached to my career and income-earning capacity.
In an attempt to feel relevant in the world again and find purpose in my life, in 2017 I created a business in an area for which I had a lot of passion but not a lot of experience - the food and beverage industry. 7 months into opening the business, my daughter unexpectedly passed away. The experience of being a startup business owner at a time when I was grieving my child was traumatic and incredibly challenging from a mindset perspective and has reshaped my beliefs, values, and vision for my life.
5 years on in my journey since losing my daughter, I feel called to serve others from a place where my skills and life experience intersect as a certified business mindset coach and business growth consultant. Bringing together my finance and large corporate experience with my experience as a small business creator and owner along with my life experience as a person who has experienced deep personal challenges through this journey. I know that I will find fulfillment in helping others through their own business journey and helping them find self-belief and the determination to keep moving through their business and mindset challenges one step at a time.
