"Completely transformed how I look at networking and at relationships in general"

I recently got laid off because of the cost cutting efforts undertaken by my organisation. I was shaken because I did not know what I really wanted to do. So I decided to invest my time in a couple of courses with Mindvalley. Mastering Authentic Networking has been one of these courses and I am so glad that I took it. Not only did this course help me get direction in terms of what I wanted to achieve (thank you MTP) but also gave me the confidence to really be audacious and reach out to people I would never have dreamt of reaching out to. I have managed to make connections in these 3 weeks with people both relevant to my career and passion project. And I'd say this has been impressive because I am doing all that Keith has taught us virtually since we are still under lockdown. I always found networking events really frustrating because I always walked away from them losing time. One of the greatest lessons I have learnt is that don't wait for problem to strike to start looking for people. Have the support system ready for when you really need it. The second one is the 7 Ps. Preparation is paramount. I always thought of networking as meeting people, making useless small talk and walking away. This quest showed me how wrong I was and has completely transformed how I look at networking and at relationships in general. Preparing, researching and following up are hard work but very very necessary. Networking is nothing without these. While the content covered in the latter weeks is something taht I need to build towards, especially given the lockdown, the units on Porosity, Audacity, MTP, 5 packets of generosity, the 3 steps of RAP have been absolutely ground breaking for me even intros time. I plan to revisit this course and create a page on my experiences and applications with this coarsest hat others can benefit from this as well.
