"What I needed was the structure, the vision, the purpose and, likely most of all, the strategy"

I spent many years working hard, sacrificing time away from family, friend, and other interests to climb the corporate ladder and to advance my career (everything's a tradeoff, right?) only to be targeted by my boss (yes, he was a boss, not a leader)for applying for a different position (a higher level position, same level as his). This was after I was transparent and informed him that I was going to apply - a practice he had asked his direct reports to comply with to keep him informed. He never treated me the same after that. I wasn't going to work with unethical people like this any longer (There were many other things that fit in this category, believe me.) I was in a right position in my life and abruptly retired. After spending a period of time "retired", I realized that this series of circumstances left me empty, confused, lost, and, well yes, broken. Even though I was very blessed and had a lot of wonderful things to be grateful for in my life, something was missing. There was a void I could not fill. I read, or listened to, several books about the second half of life and I now tell people I'm "in halftime", not retired. In my "Halftime" I'm making adjustments for the second half of my life. ('Halftime' is a great book by Bob Buford about this very subject, by the way.) But I was gaining ground, but still not enthusiastic about what I would do. I have participated in many self-development courses, and they have definitely helped me mentally, intellectually, and emotionally, but I was still searching. Then I found Lifebook! What I needed was the structure, the vision, the purpose and, likely most of all, the strategy. I am so excited about having my vision on paper. I tweak it almost daily to refine it to the point that it says exactly what it needs to say to emulate the extraordinary, comprehensive, dream life I've always known was possible.
I am very anxious to begin Lifebook Mastery to distill the vision into meaningful, actionable, attainable, stretch goals with the built-in accountability mechanisms. I'm pumped about the potential and grateful for the opportunity! Thank you Jon, Missy, Vishen, and Alex and the rest of the Lifebook team! You're doing God's work. You all should be commended for all the lives you are touching in such a positive way and for your aspirations to educate the masses! Very powerful!
