Going into the Lifebook process, I didn't really know how I would feel or react to such an in-depth and detailed approach to designing my life - I had never really done it before! It was absolutely rewarding, yet somewhat challenging because it forces you to truly think about the way you want your life to turn out as opposed to just going with the flow, something which I am definitely guilty of doing too often in my life (Not saying it's completely a bad thing).
However, my life definitely lacked purposeful direction, whether that was in all aspects of my life, or from the perspective on attaining the goals I already had set out. I would give up if I failed and move onto the next thing, or I would let my relationships (I'm a HUGE lover who falls in love rather easily) determine the direction of my life. (Insert sad face). I didn't really know what or why I was doing things I would mainly just act on impulse! Similar to a dog chasing cars...
But if you want to make the most out of THIS life, you really need to take a step back, analyze ALL areas of your life whether you believe in these pillars or not, and you need to accept that they're all as equally as important as the next.
You need to take Lifebook!
Be patient with yourself and when going through this journey do not ever feel like you have to write something down if you don't yet know what you want in that category, that would defeat the purpose. Just take your time and sleep on it.
When you gain some insight, write it down, share it with your tribe, write it on mirrors, your wall, keep it on your phone... or even better, keep your Lifebook handy at all times! You'll be very thankful you took the precious time to really focus on yourself and this journey which is all yours!
At the end of Lifebook, you WILL gain better clarity on what you want in your life, and where life may take you. Just have an open mind, be willing to listen to your gut, make an achievable plan and stick to it!
This "tool" or approach Lifebook uses should literally be taught in High School prior to graduation or prior to being "Forced" to go to post-secondary to take a program and get thousands of $$ in debt.
In school, they teach us only what we "Should know" in order to get a job and work that job until we retire, and we hope that it's a job that we "Love" or like etc... But they never genuinely ask us, "What do you want your life to look like, not just in the career aspect of your life, but in ALL aspects of your life?".
That's why the Lifebook process can be so useful if taken seriously. YOU, your past struggles and limiting beliefs are your biggest hurdles to accomplishing anything you want in life, you literally just have to take one leg (If you're still lucky), place it in front and over the hurdle, one at a time and you will get to the finish line.
This is a race against yourself, no one else. So don't feel pressured by the quick successes of others, just focus on yourself and have good heart. I hope you guys take care of yourself!
The best way to do that is by carefully designing how you want your life to play out!
Always with lots of love & laughter!
Enjoy the process & Smile!
