I’m gonna get a little raw here so buckle up… you’re joining me on the ride of a lifetime!
I was introduced to Lifebook by my fantastic coach, Jessica. She was just completing it and believed that it was the perfect next step for me in my journey to rediscover who I am. Think about that word rediscover for a moment. Do you realize what it means when used in that context?
It means we all have everything inside of us already there, waiting to be elevated to our consciousness again. It means we’re not broken and we don’t need to be fixed. It means we have all the answers hidden within us just waiting to be mined like gold using the proper tools.
Lifebook is that tool.
Through all the years of analyzing, therapizing, long, intense talks over coffee or wine with good friends, the browsing of self-help book sections when bookstores were still a thing, and a plethora of other avenues seeking answers and the best method to “heal” myself, I finally found a process that makes sense and has nothing to do with “healing myself”.
Lifebook is a process that shows you how to mine the depths of your own knowing, your own consciousness and design and refine a complete vision of the life you desire and how to achieve it.
Lifebook divides your life into 12 main categories, each of which are broken down into four foundational pillars. The founders Jon and Miss Butcher guide you through each category using their four step process teaching you how to discover and create the life you were always meant to lead. It’s personalized by each individual so that no two Lifebooks are alike. It celebrates the essence of who you are as a unique, beautiful, fantastic human being!
Now here’s the raw stuff I promised in that first sentence that will help frame the reason why I chose Lifebook.
I grew up in a typically dysfunctional family. Perfectionism coupled with the edict to obey any and all rules blindly was the parenting du jour of my generation. As a girl, I was taught to take care of the needs of others and frankly, never even knew that I had needs of my own except maybe as a quiet little voice whispering that something was not quite right.... that something was missing.
I learned to hide my sadness, suck up my fear, ignore that voice inside that squeaked, “No!” when someone stepped all over my sweet, little-girl spirit in a mind boggling array of ways. I can recall the slow deconstruction of who I was born to be. Each and every incident whittled away at the core of my identity. Slivers of myself drifted deep down inside me to lie hidden for years on the floor of my psyche and soul.
You recognize this story don’t you? So many of us have lived it. In one way or another we were taught that we were broken and needing to be fixed. We have been told that we need to change in order to be worthy of love and undeserving of a life filled with spectacular, wonderful things. We have struggled to become what others think we should be, and in that endeavor, lost the true identity we are all born with.
We have always had everything we needed to deserve a rich and fulfilling life.
This is where Lifebook came into my life and showed me that I have all I need within me. I simply needed a process that was easy to learn, challenging enough to be satisfying and deeply personal.
Lifebook helped me to gather up all those little slivers of myself that were lying deep within and reformat them into a personal vision of the life I have always wanted. It gave me back control of my life in a manner that is both powerful and steeped in my own unique vision. The transformation is still continuing and the journey has just gotten even more interesting than ever!
