"I have made a plan to soar to the highest I can achieve in this lifetime"

I began the Lifebook journey with all the right attitudes and attributes to my life, but because of a divorce and the accompanying changes, I had lost direction. Despite that I am in my 60s and officially 'retired' I scored high on the self assessment. But I needed a guiding hand to remind me to stay on track, and I wanted to underline my strengths and use them to my best advantage. I am a writer and artist now, but had spent most of my career in the hospitality industry. I had also recently formed a new relationship and wanted to study and improve that area of my life. I persuaded my boyfriend to join Lifebook. We then heard that the emergency lock-down was about to close off most of Spain where we live. The Lifebook challenge was good timing, and a useful tool to to stay focused on what we wanted out of life and not spending negative time on what was out of our control. I have practiced yoga and meditation since my 20s and therefore devised a program of 5 days a week of 2 hours of exercise at home, during the emergency, adding weights and aerobic activity. I also have a 30 minute daily mediation practice. As a couple, interested in spirituality, we decided that every Tuesday would be frugal eating day, and an evening meditation for world healing. I created an improvised alter from 3 Goddess fabric sculptures I had created for an art exhibition, and with candles and a simple posy of flowers from ordinary garden plants and flowers that grow everywhere. We decided to cut out the noise of TV for the rest of the evening and simply cradled together watching the stars. Lifebook has been challenging and life changing for both of us. I have gained clarity of my strengths and weaknesses, taken a firm hand on my finances and considered how to improve every area of my life. I had been writing four light-hearted novels based on my experiences of love and life in the food industry, they are accompanied by a cookbook of quick, nutritious food you can make with your lover. I have made a plan to soar to the highest I can achieve in this lifetime and lift up those around me with fun, energy and love and use my unique talents and skills to do so.
