Before my work with Mindvalley, I was on a journey that was filled with the outside world looking in at the way in which I saw and searched for the beauty within human beings and many questioned it. After taking several Mindvalley classes, including Jeffrey's Duality, I literally stumbled into Life Visioning Mastery with Michael Beckwith. I have been creating a new school for three years - separate and beautiful and oh, so different from what the world has envisioned and created for children in the public system. It is an on-line, cross-country school that rises above the socio-economic and racial issues that plague our world as The School is for all children and focuses on - not their deficits or disabilities, but their gifts, talents, and the beauty of who they are. The heart and soul of it is based upon each individual child, and his or her true nature - gifts, talents, and abilities, as well as what that child loves to do. In other words, each child is, in essence, his or her own school. This is a school whose focus is on the child, not the curriculum, the standards or the test scores. It is, without doubt, what I am here to do. With the guidance of Michael, I have found a peace, a centering, a calm passion and excitement that rolls off of me and onto everything that I touch and every person with whom I interact. The truth of the beauty of every human being, and the pain and self-restraint that humanity has endured has a way to be released, and a way to BECOME. This becoming is something that I was able to do with my own students, before I began working with educators around the world. However, the fear, and the separation from self that I encountered with educators, students, and parents - everywhere I went - pushed me to understand that I was closer to my intended journey, but not quite there. When I allowed, through my work with Jeffrey, first and THEN, with Michael, the unraveling, the peace, the centering, the simplicity, the clarity, and the absolute power of why I am here to do this and open this door - well, that was quite an awakening. The most beautiful part of my Personal Success - so far - is that my ego is not the leader here. In my work with Michael, there has been an unveiling of the world, of nature, of the sound of the wind, of the light-dappled trees, of the eyes of every person I see, of my empathy, expanding, of my joy increasing and filling my lungs, my blood vessels and each cell. There is no perfect. I understand what I call, Head, Heart, Gut - the integration of the intellect - the knowing, the heart - the passion, and the gut - the courage to follow, to trust, and to take action. Michael has taken me to such a place where I have been able to own myself, and to understand my own head, heart and gut and to know that it is not about control, and ego. It is about being willing to know and step into the truth of who I am, and the power of the Universe that surrounds me, supports me, and provides me with the wisdom, the courage, and the tools to do the good things that I am here to do. Every single time that I watched and took part in my next "lesson" with Michael, he was already answering the question that I had for him. Every. single. time. My life is transformed. Meditation is something that I have been investing in every day now for eight months. It has changed my life. Choice. Creation. Love. Gifts. Journey. These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Michael and the work that is now the beauty of my life. I am attaching a picture that provides an understanding of the school that is being breathed into life - a school that will allow children to become themselves - filled with light and self-discovery, and a place for parents, caretakers, and community members to find out that they, too have beauty within - even if no one, including themselves, has ever seen it, before.
