I felt that there was more I could do to support our people at work, like all big businesses we do a lot in terms of skillset but not as much when it comes to mindset. I decided to support our leaders as a personal coach to see how I can have a positive impact on them which would then trickle down to their teams and our customers. But I thought that there was a huge gap between what I wanted to achieve and where I was starting from as I thought that I had to be the expert in all aspects of our leaders' life. I was prepping by going through an imagined session creating both sides of the conversation to attempt to predict every aspects of the conversation.
That was making me tense. But I learned that I needed to show up and respond to what shows up and it wasn't all about my insight but it was about me pointing to the truth and showing them what they had going for them and what they were up against.
As a result, I have had amazing breakthroughs in our conversation by tapping into my innate intelligence to ask more poignant questions that really helped my people reflect and come to their own realisation.
