I began Dr. Shefali's Conscious Parenting course to improve the way I parent as well as to dig more deeply into myself. I also had a hidden hope that it would somehow help my marriage with some of our struggles over the years. During the course I would find myself thinking, "I'm not embodying all of this information, my parenting hasn't 'arrived,' I'm not doing the course right."
What I'm learning is that, although I haven't embodied it all yet, my soul is absorbing it, day by day as I listen, do the exercises, set my intentions and meditate. The balance I feel along with the peace and acceptance I am able to maintain even when my outside "problems" haven't changed much, is something I would have never imagined possible 6 months ago. I am in awe at this course as I have been able to peel back my layers and connect with my true inner essence (something I had unknowingly been separated from). It has been a beautiful unfolding so far and has left me hungry for more inward knowing and acceptance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Shefali!
