My Coaching Mastery Journey: From Therapist to Transformative Coach
Before the course, I had a strong vision of helping kids and families, but I believed that a pre-recorded program would be the best way to deliver my message. I had confidence in
my skills as a therapist, but I hadn’t fully realized that for the past 20 years, I had essentially been coaching—without calling it that.
I was focused on therapy, thinking it was the only lens through which I could create change. What I didn’t see was the depth of coaching I had already been doing and how expanding into a true coaching approach could multiply the impact I have.
One of the most eye-opening moments during the course was when we were asked to call former clients and ask, “What was the biggest change I helped create for you?” I expected answers about specific exercises, techniques, or nutrition advice. But what I heard was far deeper.
Parents spoke about the mindset shifts they experienced, how I encouraged them to keep the bar high, and how I empowered them to trust their intuition, especially when advice from others felt off. They mentioned how I became a champion for their child—someone who didn’t just focus on the “what” of therapy but the “why” behind their journey.
That feedback shifted everything. It made me realize that the work I do goes beyond exercises and plans—it’s about transforming families from the inside out, giving them the
belief, tools, and confidence to advocate for their children in powerful ways.
The Inner Work: Confronting Triggers and Embracing Growth
Throughout the course, I found myself triggered by several things that forced me to look inward. It wasn’t always comfortable, but it was necessary. I had to confront parts of myself I hadn’t fully acknowledged, areas where I felt I wasn’t enough or where I carried certain doubts. But as I worked through these triggers, I realized something powerful: these shortcomings aren’t unique to me, they’re part of the human experience.
That realization became another pivotal moment. It showed me that the struggles I was navigating were the very same processes my clients would face. By working through my
own challenges, I could better understand how to guide them through theirs.
Another key insight was recognizing the importance of grounding and presence—not just for myself, but for the families I work with. Before helping a child with special needs, parents and caregivers need to be centered and present. They are the anchors in the child’s journey, and without that foundation, true progress becomes harder to achieve. This course illuminated how critical it is to support the entire family system, not just the child, and how
coaching could be the bridge to make that happen.
The Catalyst: Community, Emotions, and Real Transformation
I was motivated to take the course because of the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of visionary-minded people. I knew from day one that I was fully committed, but I didn’t expect the emotional rollercoaster that would follow. Throughout the journey, I felt
everything—anger, sadness, disillusionment, enthusiasm, and overwhelm.
What struck me most was realizing that these emotions mirrored exactly what my clients would experience in their own transformative processes. This deepened my understanding and empathy, helping me reframe how I approach coaching. I learned that transformation
isn’t linear—it’s messy, emotional, and deeply human.
This realization also led me to reframe my expectations and timelines for my own programs. I recognized the importance of creating space for clients to experience the highs
and lows, giving them grace throughout the process while guiding them toward growth.
From Marketing to Purpose: Finding My True Voice
When I enrolled in the course, I was hoping to gain practical tools—social media strategies, marketing tips, and the right hooks to promote my programs effectively. But what I gained was something far more powerful. I found clarity in owning my unique message and embracing the role I’m meant to play. I realized I am the edge—the loud voice for those who don’t have one, especially for children
and families navigating complex challenges. This wasn’t just about marketing anymore; it became about stepping fully into my purpose. Through this journey, I gained the ability to fully accept who I am, without holding back. It
prepared me for the greater role that’s unfolding for me—the one I’ve been moving toward all along, even when I didn’t fully see it.
The Shift: Mindset, Confidence, and Owning My Calling
I feel deeply aligned with my purpose—ignited in a way I hadn’t experienced before. I can see my path unfolding with clarity, and for the first time, I’m no longer held back by
perfectionism. I’m ready to step into a lifetime of putting myself out there, even in the face of crickets and critics.
This course helped me embrace the vulnerability that comes with sharing my message boldly, without needing validation or approval. I now know, without a doubt, that I have a calling on my life—and there’s no denying it anymore.
The Power of Community: Why I Recommend This Course
I would recommend this course not only for the incredible depth of practical and transformative information but also for the kind of people it attracts. The insights I gained
from so many thought-provoking influencers were game-changing, but what truly set this course apart was the community. The friendships I formed along the way were the most unexpected and valuable part of the
experience. Despite taking countless masterminds and “expert” courses before, this Coaching Career Mastery Course took things to an entirely different level. Being surrounded by like-minded individuals who not only collaborate but genuinely push you to succeed—and celebrate your wins—was invaluable. It wasn’t just about gaining knowledge; it was about growing alongside others
who are equally committed to making an impact.
The Ripple Effect: Changes in Every Area of My Life
This course has impacted all areas of my life. I’ve found a sense of calm in situations that used to overwhelm me, allowing me to approach challenges with more clarity and
resilience.
One of the biggest shifts was reframing my decision to focus on coaching—not as a final destination, but as a journey. I now understand that diversions and detours are
part of the process, and I’ve learned how to stay grounded while still maintaining a solid focus on my desired outcomes.
What really stood out was seeing the raw, vulnerable paths of other successful entrepreneurs. Hearing about both their successes and failures gave me permission to
embrace my own unique journey. It reminded me that I don’t need to compare myself to others—instead, I need to use my authentic voice and skills to catalyze the changes I want
to see in the world. I now trust that my message will resonate with those who need it most. If I stay focused on
the steps, honor my individuality, and keep my edge, I know that everything I envision is possible.
My Top 3 Takeaways from This Journey:
1. Take Massive Action:
One of the most powerful lessons I learned was the importance of taking massive
action. No more waiting for the “perfect” moment or getting stuck in overthinking—I realized that real progress happens when you commit fully and move forward, even
in uncertainty.
2. Lean Into My Capacity Without Overextending:
I learned to trust my capacity while also recognizing my limits. This insight helped me shift from overextending myself to working smarter and more intentionally. It’s
no longer about doing everything but doing what truly matters, in alignment with my purpose.
3. Be Authentically Me:
Perhaps the most profound takeaway was embracing my authentic self. There was a moment when I was challenged to “just go back to being a therapist,” and instead of
retreating, it sparked something deeper, I threw down the metaphorical gauntlet and fully owned my calling.
This course made me confront the years I had spent stuck, held back by excuses, insecurities, and fragmented time management. But instead of lingering in that space, I
now have the tools and clarity to create a plan that drives my purpose work forward. It’s no longer about what held me back, it’s about what propels me forward.
The Biggest Positive Change: A Mindset Shift
The most profound shift has been in my mindset. I now fully recognize the impact that my positivity and message can have on others. There’s a deep sense of purpose and certainty in knowing that what I have to share will make a real difference.
I’m no longer playing small or doubting my voice. I’m excited about stepping onto the world stage—sharing my message with those who need it most. The path ahead feels expansive, filled with possibility, and I’m ready to embrace it fully.
Final Thoughts
This journey wasn’t just about becoming a better coach—it as about becoming a more aligned, empowered version of myself. I now understand that the work I do can transform
lives, and I’m ready to step into that purpose with everything I have.
