"I don’t focus on selling, I focus on adding value"

Three years ago, while working in Dubai, I quietly began my journey as a coach. I was passionate about helping people and even had a few clients, but fear held me back. I was afraid that if I left my job, my coaching business might fail. Deep inside, I was tired of working just for survival — I longed for the freedom of being self-employed and the fulfillment of creating real impact.
I decided to invest in myself. I joined the Mindvalley community, enrolled in different courses, and later committed to Exponential Coaching. At first, I used these tools to work on myself — to face my fears, to heal, and to understand who I truly was. Each video, each exercise, became part of my personal transformation, and soon I began to implement them in my coaching practice.
By the end of 2023, I finally found the courage to resign from my job and return home to Kenya. That was the beginning of Dames with Grit — a platform where I now work with powerful African women, both in the diaspora and across Africa. Together, we are tapping into our potential, investing back home, and creating powerful transformations in our new homes and communities.
This journey has also helped me step into my voice. With Lisa’s Speak to Inspire, I have gone from a woman who was afraid to speak, to a woman bold enough to stand on stage and add value to others.
Today, I don’t just see myself as a coach — I see myself as a change-maker. I don’t focus on selling, I focus on adding value. I am bolder, more courageous, and willing to take risks. Most importantly, I am committed to creating change, one woman at a time.
I am proud of how far I’ve come, and grateful for the platforms and communities that shaped me. This is not the end of my journey — it is the powerful beginning of something greater
