The Be Extraordinary Quest helped me focus on my desires and wishes.
By that, I mean a refocusing from outer driven goals to inner driven goals. Vishen has created a program to gradually move from an outer focus to an inner focus. This is done by the introduction of such tools as Gratitude and Segment Intending.
Followed by the task of creating one 3 MIQ's. We are now starting to think about our Self. There is a fine serving of the philosophical background supporting the process, such as the 4 forms of consciousness, Egolessness (Ken Wilber), The Art of Blissfulness, and the various forms of Happiness.
Each segment of the class folds in various layers of Self Reflection - what am I grateful for? What does my future Self look like? What my constant goal is actually Personal Spiritual Growth? How does that fold into my daily life. This is how segment intending blended with my Foundational Beliefs. We are not done!
These portions of study create a floor upon which to stand with strength as we now move forward into what I call the Esoteric portion of the process of Being Extraordinary.
We start with the concept of Becoming Unrealistic. Let's see what that means. If I choose something really off the charts, where does that choice come from? It comes from within me. That crazy Unrealistic goal is within me! It does not really come from anywhere else. So, is it really 'unrealistic?' - I think not. But, we must unfold tools for our Self to use to approach that 'unrealistic' goal. That tool is intuition. We learn to initiate our intuition - very important. As with anything, practice makes perfect.
We now start to ask for help! The help comes first from our own inner guides (mine were and are Spinoza, EJ Gold, Melville, JD Salinger, Haruki Murakami - a few others. We create the strange and unusual "Board Room" - who is in that Board Room - our guides. We ask for help! Then answers come. (Where really do those answers arise? From my inner intuitional self.) If the Self vision is clear enough, then the power of intuition has a fine goal in which to focus. We are now focusing the inner power.
We are not done. As my inner vision of my Future Self Clarifies and takes Form - I can embrace that vision of My Self. Soon, with proper focus, I have the opportunity to MERGE with that Self - I am bringing the power of the vision into my every day. I embrace the Future now! That is extraordinary. That is the final beauty of Vishen's Quest called Be Extraordinary.
