Before this Quest I did not allow myself to follow my vision because it seemed impossible in respect of funding. But after the Quest: I do! I am an artist and my vision is to establish an „Interdisciplinary Headquarter” in Vienna that addresses societal problems and visualises and publishes them in manifold artistic means like happenings, plays, photography and films. Currently I work on two topics: „The Mediterranean Sea as a Climate Factor” (with artists and scientists) and a play on the human „Dream of Flying” that evolved from freedom and adventure that planes used to mean to nowadays a mental and environmental stress factor (actors, musicians, scientists, ...). My personal strength is to involve great and acknowledged artists and scientists to my projects and everybody enjoys to participate. But as a mother of two children after divorce I do not make much profit from my projects. This mainly stems from my early learned belief that artists are poor and can barely make their living.
But „Be Extraordinary” led me to allow myself to envision a work- and living space for my family and the participating artists and scientists. „The three most important Questions” and the meditation were the key factors for me seeing that totally clear now. I started to design it and to search for the right place, because the „Brules” helped me to overcome my perspective on the bad financial status of an artist. Especially „Turn a Problem into a Project” made me reflect my relationship to money. After that lesson I immediately started a new Aquarell series (see examples attached) that I call „Corona Currency”. It shows visionary banknotes with subjects on them that are impossible during the Corona time like having a drink with friends, shopping toys with my son, a beach party or buying nice shoes for the evening. I posted this series on Instagram. This led to a gallery owner asking me if I want to show them in his gallery and in two weeks they will be exposed!! This artwork made me look friendly and warmly on money because I touched, observed and painted the banknotes during the last weeks. We became friends in a way and this is the first time in my life that I started to allow myself to earn money and benefit from my artwork. I am very positive that this series will be sold and I will use the money from it according to „Shift Your Money Mindset” and start to invest in my „Interdisciplinary Headquarter”. I really wish to become an artist entrepreneur following big projects that benefit society. I want to be a good mother to my children teaching them that artists CAN make their living and that they CAN make a change to the world for example regarding the climate. Vishen convinced me with „Be Extraordinary” to concentrate on WHAT I want to achieve and leave the HOW to the universe. It already started to work for me and I am looking very much forward to see Vishen and the tribe in the Zoom call, though it will be about 4 o'clock in the morning in Vienna.
