"The biggest change is seeing and deeply feeling the extraordinary in the simple things in my life!"

Before beginning Being Extraordinary, I was recuperating from a near death injury where my upper arm was shattered, broken elbow and wrist, 2 broken ribs, concussion, a severed artery in the arm, damaged ulna nerve (leaving my hand and fingers in pain and unusable) and a post-op pneumothorax because medical oversight. I felt very blessed to have the ambulance attendants fight for me in emergency and insist my condition was serious. It's thanks to them that I didn't loose my arm and a vascular surgeon was called in before midnight on a Saturday night to repair the artery with a vein from my leg. When I went in to see her 2 months later for the post op check re the circulation in my arm, she gave me sage advise, "You're a smart women, don't sit and wait for the surgeons to call you. Go after the answers and care you need!". After a 2 week stay in the hospital and 4 surgeries I was sent home anemic and with concussion syndrome. I didn't understand why I couldn't tolerate light or sound and continued to suffer from nausea.
My sister introduced me to Dr. Joe Dispenza and I worked on visualizations, went to daily physio therapy manipulations to break through the scar tissue with the goal to move my arm from 45 degrees position to as straight as possible. 7 months later I am able to use my hand, use a knife and fork, tie shoelaces, touch my head... Every day I marvel at little things which I took for granted which I am now able to do.

Taking Being Extraordinary saved me from falling into a deep depression. It gave me hope and goals and a template to follow. The three things which have stayed with me are practicing gratitude, meditation and bending reality. I've always excelled at giving to others but never to myself. This time of staying in isolation is a gift to practice gratitude, daily intentions and spend an hour on personal growth. I've learned that for me, this is done in little blocks of time such as beginning the day and ending the day with gratitude and meditation. I begin each day with intentions and have incorporated what someone in the community shared re intentions by starting them off with "Wouldn't it be nice......." I take three 10 minute brisk walks a day (sometimes I only manage one walk). I've begun to revisit Being Extraordinary course to help me consolidate and deepen my practice with the goal to reach extraordinary! The biggest change is seeing and deeply feeling the extraordinary in the simple things in my life!
