This made me sad. Here are the reasons....
1. As spiritual seekers devoted to transforming ourselves and the world, one of the first things we master is the PRESENT MOMENT. To bring a watch, time-keeper into the picture of abundance simply felt limited and lacking imagination. I personally live my life without a watch even though it's a busy life with a job, and several extra-curricular activities.
2. Abundance is such an EXPANSIVE concept and conjures up feelings of freedom, winged mobility in every sense of the word, and I felt confined, limited, and frankly, bored, having my attention focused on a 250K containing Louis Vouton bag as well as the Cartier watch. It was only today in my walking meditation that I actively imagined the forest around my house illuminated by artist-installed lights; rock and bush gardens outside my home. Granite kitchen counters studded with rocks and gems and semi-precious stones; the most expensive Japanese knives (love to cook); indoor and outdoor gardens. You get my drift. Bring Beauty and a sense of esthetics into the concept of abundance. There is so much more to abundance than watches and bags. How about beautiful art, paintings, sculptures. How about an animal sanctuary at one's property? POssibilities are endless. I felt claustrophobic confined to the references of bags (no matter how much money it contained), and watches.
