Several years ago I lost two of my children to addictions. Kristen was bulimic and alcoholic for 20 years and my son David was in a deep depression; was prescribed 5 different medications and one day took them all. I was given the book "The Power of Intention" by Wayne Dyer and it changed my life. It put me on the right road instead of always going to the left. I started becoming more compassionate, caring and grateful. I closed my last business and became certified in 5 Yoga practices; including Cancer Yoga, Yoga Nidra Meditation and a Reiki Master. I was 72 years old. I was teaching 15 classes a week. I was also teaching in addiction centers three times a week. Three years ago, I joined Toastmasters and became a Professional Speaker in Health & Wellness and Aging. Recently I started my online Yoga and Event business.
Two years ago, I started having severe back pain when I tried to get up in the morning. I have been doing an exercise program in the morning called The Five Tibetans. A few months later I was diagnosed with Scleroderma and told to go to a Rheumatologist. My appointment was 2 mos away. I have always been health conscious and take supplements every day; Smoothie; spinach, avocado, protein powder and almond mild as well as tumeric, tart cherry juice, coq10 and flax oil. My diet wasn't the best. I decided to go on the Functional Medicine diet. I always felt that I could heal myself. My back wasn't getting any better and after I started the diet, within 2 weeks all my pain disappeared. The doctor looked at me and said "there is no way you have any autoimmune disease with the shape you are in" I asked him about my back and he took an x ray. He told me not to stop doing what I was doing because I would have to have serious back surgery. He told me he didn't know how I was walking and teaching yoga and had no pain. I knew in my mind that I could heal myself.
I enrolled in this Quest because I had fears that I wasn't good enough. I couldn't move to the next level. I lacked self-confidence. I would recommend this Quest to anyone wanting to improve their life in all areas. The speakers were extraordinary. Marisa, Jeff, Jim, Michael, Emily and several more. Vishen you are an incredible human being that has literally changed the lives of millions of people. The information on growth, empowering people to create goals and making sure they can achieve them. Helping everyone by unleashing the power of their mind with intuition and the power of resonance ...The areas I have noticed the biggest changes are my JOY in knowing I can move forward with self-confidence and grace. The education in life's lessons are invaluable. I feel as though you are always speaking from your heart and soul. ...I feel I will be able to teach Happiness with Meaning by serving others to my clients, friends and family. How I can become unfunkwithable and truly at peace with myself in my own skin. I realize although I know I was intuitive, I had no idea how deep that could go and what that could manifest. My soul will move me to do great things. I have created a Boardroom!! I am doing the 6 step meditation every day. Every day has a purpose! ....I thought I was pretty spiritual but with all the lessons, insights and opportunities, my growth has just begun.
