As a film editor I have immense pain. I often have to deal with insane amounts of filmed material and construct a narrative that is engaging and makes sense, putting together pieces of a random puzzle that have never been put together before and that can turn out in a thousand different ways. It's a slow and painful process, a soul killer, having to watch dozens, hundreds, thousands of hours of material and then having to formulate a narrative that sometimes takes months to become viable, as I need to search for each clip and add a to one manually, to see if it makes sense. With the app I made, all this is in the past and when testing a hypothesis, I just use the app and it tells me if the path I'm choosing is viable. Considering that transcriptions often bring together dozens of characters on thousands of pages, I had to first make transcriptions identifying the speakers, export them, combine them into single files, in markdown or txt, make and redo the instructions many times, but, at the same time, Finally, it works! Little by little I will improve, but it has already saved me many hours of work! So far these are bots, custom gpts, but I'm developing a complete app, with many other functions. The next step is to transform this into a GPT assistant so that I can use it directly on a project website. Later on, I plan to integrate it with tools like Descript, and be able to export sequences directly to non-linear editing systems, completely omitting the manual assembly work of radio-cutting the story.
I love you, AI, slightly less than my family, but I do, really!
Thank you for your attention and all the teachings!
