The Stage Effect

"Every class gives you so much insight into how to do things strategically and methodically, it isn't just theory"

I started out giving long, technical presentations about whales and responsible whale-watching the audience wouldn't remember. Throughout the course, not only did I structure the talk to have a more logical order, but I also made the whole whale migration into a story and now the people are the ones that end up explaining it to others! Throughout the story you also hear the Wows and other sounds. I also transformed the information-dense presentation into a more stunning one with beautiful pictures and little text, one that I don't need but that adds to the experience. I told the story of how whales' songs were once a cry for help and now they're proof of hope and conscience, as if the audience were children--I had fun, to say the least. And I keep on improving, adding to the pre-talk routine, learning about gesturing, starting to record and listen to myself for feedback.

More than that, this Quest and Eric instilled in me the belief that it IS possible to speak as a career and choose what to share more than what the places I volunteer at ask me to. That speaking is a huge way to create impact on others and that it indeed is a skill that anyone can learn. And it helps with life in general! Everything that happens now or how I act, I add it to the story journal and it makes me see the lesson I could've missed before, even in the smallest of details.

Every class gives you so much insight into how to do things strategically and methodically, it isn't just theory. And, if you do the homework, which is designed to increase in complexity along with your progress, you'll see the change. I'm grateful to Eric, to the team that made this happen, and to Mindvalley for giving us access to such extraordinary content for such affordable price. Instead of taking speaking as a hobbie, I now want to study it deeper and even got registered in Speaker Nation!

If you're interested in sharing your ideas with the world, I'd strongly suggest this quest. That, and even with your city, with a certain population, with your friends and family. If you want to become a better communicator, this Quest will level you up for sure!
