One Summer Day that made a Difference Imagine going back in time in your life to when you were in 8th grade. It's the last day of school and it's a hot summer day as you are walking home from school. Pools. Sprinklers. Pizza. Ice cream. A warm summer breeze. Your thoughts are interrupted as you pass by a factory and you peer through the dirty windows. Inside the factory, you see workers that are extremely unhappy, hot, and maybe with some regret. At that moment, you realize that if you do not have a skill, talent, ability ... The day will come when you join them. So you follow a different path. I was the 8th grader ... and that moment was my motivation to do well in high school and go to college. Now it's almost 30 years later ... but I am that same 8th grader that must learn new habits, new skills, and be one of the best ... so that I do not end up in the factory with regret on a hot summer day. Thank you MIndValley, for being part of the continuing transformation.
