"With Social Media Mastery, I finally gained the confidence to submit a seventy-page nonfiction book proposal"
I've been a Mindvalley Member for five years now, and although I'm constantly shifted and blown away by the speakers and content, what I love most is the tribe. Not all of us are fortunate enough to have a true-likeminded tribe in our everyday lives, so I am immeasurably grateful that Mindvalley connects us all virtually, globally, and directly and becomes our tribe. By our mere participation, we are instantaneously part of something greater than we could have ever imagined in perhaps the most unlikely harmonic-happenstance. Who would have thought virtual could be so tangible? Alone you never have to be even during facets of deep transformation or pursuit of stretch goals. The Mindvalley community is the unexpected love that lasts. With Social Media Mastery specifically, I finally gained the confidence to submit a seventy-page nonfiction book proposal after passing on three previous opportunities. The reason I hadn’t submitted for a publishing contest before was the requirement of having a social media platform to prove that I could sell several thousand of my books on my own. The specificity and requirements of this element of the proposal were daunting. As a person often paralyzed by perfection and intimidated by technology and lacking social media know-how, I couldn’t imagine how to go from “couch to Kilimanjaro” metaphorically speaking. This fear of social media activation plagued and preoccupied me yet I was burning up in the bleachers and had to get in the game. SMM is the nonnegotiable point of entry and ultimate cornerstone in determining publishing success. Coming out of Social Media Mastery, I feel current, composed, optimistic, and in the creative flow when I approach my social media work and my goals. I am free from the shackles of overwhelm and intimidation and know exactly how to approach a consistent, compelling presence. My podcast series will be launching shortly and my book will be out by fall 2025. Living below one’s potential is painful beyond measure. Transforming pain into actionable pursuit of your dreams is pleasure.
