Shift #1: Curiosity always augments learning. This might come as a no-brainer, but trust me there is more to what meets the eye here. On the very first day, I came in with many questions about what will be shared, will I need it, how will I benefit, could I retain that information excess and so on, along with a bit of awe. Awe because I had watched the Summit Talks from previous years on YouTube and wondered it must have been practically riveting for the lucky folks who attended it at wherever in the world MV was hosting it—part of the appeal being in traveling to that new location(you can tell, I love traveling--need to maybe have “wanderlust” tattooed on my foot, maybe? LOL). I was in disbelief how equally "riveting” the energy was around every single session from the opening one with the hosts to the closing one, again with the hosts and others even as I sat listening to it tucked away in my study.
A ton of amazing content was offered every day, but I think being curious made a tremendous difference. It is still a bit unbelievable. I think a huge part of it is owed to every single teacher presenting their subject, the enthusiasm, and authenticity they brought to their sessions holding everyone rapt with attention-- all of us littered across the world. The chat was blowing up practically in every session to where folks even started connecting on common interests.
Shift #2: Robust mind-body-spirit integration practices are better served by staying current on knowledge around physiological wellness. I am aware of the above as a connection practitioner and a teacher-speaker of connection practices. But it is one thing to be aware and another to actively look for ways to actualize that awareness into daily practice. To one’s own benefit. This is a big one for me coming fresh off the heels of this Summit and I feel like a kid in candy store for the number of books I have picked up to read since this Summit! Am updating not just my know-how but revisiting the connection between keeping up a healthy body and maintaining a healthy spirit. We hear about this a lot and think it is obvious. But what deepened for me in and through the Summit is the awareness about working on this connection immersively. What a monumental difference it can make to our roles in personal and professional walks of life! From the sessions on embodiment practices which I resonate with deeply on a conceptual and practical level to the densely theoretical ones on health, I got a much-treasured chance to look at my own practice of body-mind-spirit integration up close and crank up the complexity some.
Shift#3: Our online presence has more layers than we care to know or realize. There is so much more to online meetings, and our online presence than we know. I learned a ton about online presence, virtual body language, nonverbal cues we send off in our virtual gatherings. Knowing that our virtual meetings are here to stay, I made my peace with them. ? It was eye opening to learn about the umpteen nuances that make for a positive impact in our online meetings.
Shift #4: Guided meditation sessions are transformative every time. As a healer, I am aware of this at a fair depth. But the session led on the third day brought up unexpected spiritual epiphanies. Coming into that session it was a regular wrap-up on Sunday morning to a spectacular event.
Those of us who are members at MV have become accustomed to receiving outstanding content from MV regularly, so it was no surprise the Summit would be as incredible as it was. Being that my spiritual epiphanies were completely unexpected, the transformative dynamic around this session blew me away!
