"It kicked in way faster than I thought it would, like a caffeine shot but knowing that it had no real caffeine in it"

I had a very important meeting at 6 PM. That was a pitch to a client where we were trying to sell services for around 2 million.

The deal size is pretty big and I wanted to use FOCUS versus a caffeine shot to get me into a state of focus for that meeting so that I could give my best shot to my clients.

I took FOCUS around five o'clock, prepped for the meeting for a little bit and around six o'clock we got in the meeting. And I really was focused, in the material, in the conversation, in the preparation.

It kicked in way faster than I thought it would, it was like a caffeine shot but knowing that it had no real caffeine in it. So it was interesting.

I think it stayed with me longer, and one of the things I really appreciated is that after the meeting I went to the Juan Pa cacao ceremony. I took FOCUS around 5 - 5:30 and I think I could still feel that extreme focus until 7.

That was really impactful for me.
I didn't have many expectations. I tried to have no expectations, even though I knew I did.

And one of the things I'm really interested in trying is what Shawn was talking about, stacking GAZM with FOCUS, just seeing how that helps you do even better.

So FOCUS in this case was for a meeting, but I also want to kind of, as I said, I have. 10 things happening at the same time are almost at the same time, all the time. So if I want to focus on my son's something,  then I want to be focused there, right? So it's not just for work, but it's just how do I get myself to focus on what I think is important versus worrying what the 10 things that are happening at the same time.

So that's kind of where I want to try and see if this can help me structure my life and make it easier to navigate.

So for whatever reason, I was able to channel my energy into one place and it was calm.  So it was very calm, which was kind of weird but I was calm and that allowed me to focus on the conversation. So everything I was saying was in a very calm state of mind, very objective. There was obviously back and forth. But we were able to have a very genuine conversation and I think it was just because I was focused and my mind didn't go anywhere else.

Again: could I have done it without Focus? Obviously, I can do it without Focus. I've been doing it without Focus for the last 15 years. I think the question more was that I had so much information downloaded during the day that I don't want to detach myself from all of that and then get into this. So play during the day and work during the evening was the real reality. And I was trying to see how can I get my energy from, let's say, 50 to 100 quickly. That's kind of some of the things that we all struggle with is we obviously can get to 100 in some different ways, but you have so many things going on that it takes your energy down from 100 to 50 then you need to bring it up to 100 at some point during the day. So how do you bring that back up? And that's what I was looking for, for me, because if that works, then I don't need to take it all the time, but when I have these key discussions or key meetings and I'm at 50,  I want to be able to put myself back to 100.

So I think I definitely want to experiment a little bit more,  because I do take supplements, but I don't have the same cause and effect that States is trying to have. And I'm actually excited about that. So the way I want to look at it is I want to kind of see how some of these stick together and they help me out in different ways.

So I think FOCUS and Gazm is one. I actually also want to try to do Gazm and Bliss together. So there're just different pieces. I want to try and see how my body reacts to that because I think it's powerful and I want to optimize wherever I am and whatever I'm trying to do. So whatever works.

I think I'm definitely going to sign up for whatever that first package is so that we can start playing with it and hopefully also help States and the team can optimize that further.
