Last night I experimented with BLISS and the first affect was that I smiled a lot the whole evening and danced. 
I ended up having interesting and deep conversations with new acquaintances that you just don't have all the time  and comparing it with alcohol you feel focused, sober, not dizzy. I would say it's a substitute. 
I would say it has heightened my senses. I was more active, more energy and I woke up sober so if you have a bliss pill, you definitely don't have a hangover you wake up still energetic and feeling good.
