"When Lisa Nichols stepped on the stage, I first saw a bundle of radiant joy"

Set your expectations and then let go of them. Completely.
What intentions did I have when I went to Dubai Live in February 2023?
I could say that I was after the immense knowledge, the powerful potential of co-creation, the magical vibe... yes, sure... but honestly?
I went there to find my next husband.
Having divorced back in 2020, I am ready for love. However, the thing about how the universe works is that it has its own ways. Ways that are not always aligned with what I want. Rather, they could be aligned with what I need at the present moment. And I might be completely oblivious about all this.
I didn't find my next husband.
And this is alright. I am alright.
Instead, I fell ill, suffering from a headache and nasal congestion - damn those A/Cs! The whole experience got a different flavour. Suddenly, I didn't feel so social anymore. Amidst all this suffering, I let go of my expectations and focused on surviving. Believe me, if you have a super runny nose, sitting down to listen to (enlightening and exciting!) hours of talks becomes torture. I so wanted to be there, experience... yet again, I also wanted to just be in bed and sleep off the headache.
Amidst all this mess, one woman stands out. The woman who made me cry at a point when it was the least expected. When Lisa Nichols stepped on the stage, I first saw a bundle of radiant joy. That's what I thought she was all about. I knew she teaches the art of public speaking, that's all. Somewhere in the middle of her talk, I was crying. And so was half the audience.
Lisa moved me with something as simple as telling me and everyone else in the room to stop playing small. She hit me right at my pain point. This hit home. The effects are slowly emerging into reality.
I am done playing small. World, I'm coming!
