I think that I have a new perspective on what coaching can be and how it can be applied.
I wanted to have the experience of being able to offer support programs for people who want to deepen their personal growth journey by educating themselves through the other quests available through MindValley. In the past 2 years, I have watched so many Masterclass interviews with Marisa Peer, Lisa Nichols, Eric Edmeades, Donna Eden, and many others and have come to respect the people who end up being chosen to be teachers and mentors within MindValley.
It's one thing to take a coaching course, but how to keep sharpening the saw as a coach? Then what? How to keep deepening your learning and understanding as a coach, let alone being able to offer resources to your clients so that they can be launched by their coach to greater heights.
That is such a different perspective than just 'acquiring clients' to help them achieve the results that they want to see for themselves in their lives. It is all about creating a continuum that does not begin and end with 'me' or any other coach for that matter. I love that there is support at MindValley for personal, physical, spiritual and financial growth. I do not have to have it all together, or know it all!
I have grown in awareness of so many attitudes, behaviors, habits, and mindsets that I had either been avoiding or been completely ignorant of that I was doing that was not serving me - but actually keeping me stuck. This insight has helped me see how other people may benefit from me getting into alignment and becoming more effective as a friend, mom, grandmother, business owner, public speaker, and maybe one day as a spouse.
The lessons from this program include so many tools - like a handyman's toolbelt with multiple ways to approach any number of situations, problems, or personality types.
Coaching skills should be a part of every educational curriculum from elementary to how to be a better entrepreneur, manager, executive, youth group leader, social worker, or anyone planning on being in relationships with other people...
I am unclear what niche that I would like to assist others through as a coach at this point, but I see that what I have learned is so applicable in every part of my life, that I feel that my own internal growth, life experiences and focus will gradually expose where I am best suited to bring value to people as a coach. But my new perspective has less limitations on it than I had when I started this journey and I am a firm believer in "BE THE CHANGE that you want to bring about in the world", so it starts from within, and it will happen.
