“This was the billboard I had been asking for"

I hold certifications in Planning, Real Estate, teaching, and other more esoteric areas, but I was seeking something that I could do where I made my own hours and was able to take time off when necessary without pleading with an HR department. I have always prayed using a mantra that goes like "God, you know I can be dull and I need a billboard to direct my attention to where you want it to be, so please send a billboard so I don't disappoint you." I was praying that daily around Christmas 2022. 

In January 2023 I started getting emails from Mindvalley trumpeting the CLC class being formed. I was mildly interested but felt swamped between working my two jobs and taking care of an ill family member. That weekend, I walked into the church where I am the music director and encountered one of my longtime friends and musicians who is a Ph.D. psychologist (as well as being a nun, as well as having been an ER trauma nurse, etc.) I asked her if she had heard of the term Life Coach. She put down her violin that she was tuning, looked me squarely in the eye, and said "If there were more folks in that profession I could give up half my client load because most of those folks don't need the medical side I can do, they need someone with good practical sense who can guide them." She started back tuning her violin, and then looked up again and said, "And you would be really good at that. I have watched you for 20 years and have seen how many people you have helped around here sort their way through all nature of problems."

I went home that night, juggled enough money around, and sent that payment in for the class. 

As if the universe was testing me, all sorts of things have gone wrong in the last 6 months - but the further we got into the class, the more I discerned that indeed, this was the billboard I had been asking for, and without further detail, I have begun to make considered and deliberate moves so by this time next year I should have my own business up and running and be able to enjoy dawn meditation walks, reading things that don't have spreadsheets to be analyzed with them and just getting health at the same time as I am helping others.
