How Mindvalley helped me accomplish something I have wanted to do for almost 15 years....
My interest in interpersonal dynamics, happiness and the human mind, body, and soul was born from immense childhood pain and trauma, and deep depression that began in my childhood. For many years as a young adult, I self-sabotage in the worst ways and delayed my bliss and peace through substance abuse and complete denial of what wanted to come up for me; the healing.
Coaching has been a dream of mine, long before I even knew what coaching was. I graduated from University with an honors degree in Psychology, believing that I would never be a therapist because I didn't feel equipped emotionally, and my own unresolved themes and stories were too present for me to consider helping others' with their lives.
I began a dedicated and deep emotional healing process over ten years ago, where I immersed myself in books, religion, self-help courses, personal growth workshops, therapy sessions, and most of all, over 100 ayahuasca ceremonies (profound spiritual healing with plant medicine that invites deep work, not for the faint of heart). This is where I truly began to know myself. I decided to be consciously celibate for 3 years, and quit abusing substances to distract from my emotions and pain. This led to profound insights that allowed me to meet my higher self, as well as acquire tools (such as emotional regulation) that I use on a regular basis.
Before this program, I was a coach in waiting. Waiting for myself to show up and blast through my fears and limiting beliefs. Putting my goals and dreams on hold as the status quo.
After this program, everything changed. Now, I AM a coach, and I am ready to serve others with the tools gained through my pain, life experiences, knowledge, and lessons. I have many practice hours and the feedback has been empowering.
Now, my life feels like it is on track. I feel aligned and confident thanks to the Mindvalley Coaching programs I have taken.
There are other programs out there that are great, but the reasons I am gaining so much from this course are due to the Mindvalley community of coaches in training, the weekly Q&A group calls, the live coaching demo's with seasoned coaches, and the live coaching demo's with coaches in training acting as coaches. THESE things were the greatest practices that helped me.
This certification has really fueled my confidence and self-esteem, which was the main reason I was procrastinating on realizing my career as a coach.
I am not perfect, nor will I ever be. But I am ready, here and now to live my purpose, in service to others as well as myself.
