"I have grown as a person and a professional"
In January I had just founded WonderCrone and realized that potential clients might not be able to see how my years of mentoring and team leadership would translate into having confidence in me to lead them to cultivate their third chapter. I decided that I (and the business) would be well-served if I had specific credentials for this role.
It was just at that time that Mindvalley--with whom I've taken programs and quests for about 6 years now--sent me a notice about Certified Life Coaching. I felt immediately called to the opportunity. I felt that the quest would give me new and updated skills and tools, access to a network of like-minded individuals, and a well-respected platform in which to post my availability.
Well, yes. I did get all of that. But what I really received was a richness of self-understanding and clarity about me, what makes me tick, where I have blinders and blockages, and practical ways that I can navigate and resolve these. In four months--which shot by so fast!--I have grown as a person and a professional. I set better boundaries. I am more articulate about distinctions (especially requirements and expectations!). And I am better able to serve my clients because I come from a place of lived experience.
The program is so well-developed and balanced that learning a vast amount of information, tools and skills was possible, and even fun! The weekly live calls were so practical and developed a real sense of community across the global cohort. It was fascinating how we could see the impact of culture, age, and other perspectives influence both the challenges coaches might ask to support our clients with, but also gave us real-world perspective of what we share. Our humanity and our desire to serve it.
Thank you does not quite cover it, but Thank You! Thank you to Mindvalley, Ajit, Fran and all the others who gave us these beautiful months together. Stay tuned as WonderCrone and all the others in the February cohort go on to do amazing things!!
