Before this program, I was suffering from a 4 month bout of depression and years of chronic pain. I couldn’t see a future and kept thinking about ending my life to end the pain that I was in. I am a widow and while I was volunteering to help others who are grieving, I was still struggling myself with grief. Then it hit me when I saw the ad to become a life coach. It was like a lightbulb went off in my head. I can take this class and use the coaching skills to help those who are grieving. I’ve always felt called to be a teacher in some way. I just lacked the education and confidence in myself. I was already facilitating grief groups through workshops and retreats and was seeing a huge impact in their transformations, and I wanted more of that. I suddenly realized that I can make this a career.
Thanks to this life coaching program, I have learned the skills to not only help others, but to help myself. I’ve learned to step into my new identity as a coach. I found courage through practicing in the coaching labs that have inspired me to start my own widowed club in my community. It started with 5 people and in 3 months has grown to 28 widowed people coming together to support each other. I now have 3 private clients that I am coaching and I am working on creating my own grief program that I believe will change people’s lives. I am coordinating my first retreat in the spring for people who have lost their spouse, and I’m planning to write a book too.
The 3 biggest takeaways from this program are the habit building skills and understanding that we need to first see ourselves in our new identity. The 3MIQs was also a huge eye opener. I also believe that the 6 phase meditation, and having access to all of the Mindvalley meditations and quests, were super helpful in creating my own life.
Through the 6 phase I have been able to heal parts of my body that were giving me pain for several years. For the first time in one year I am able to walk normally without limping in pain or using a cane. I cleared my lung scarring from Covid, and my A1C went down while my iron levels went back up to a normal level. My recent health physical showed the best results in the history of me. I just turned 50 this year and prior to this class I had a limiting belief that at 50 my health would decline. I was already having cognitive issues, memory loss, chronic pain, fatigue and anemia. All of these issues have improved while I was taking this class. It’s mind blowing! I had no idea that this class and Mindvalley would heal me. Now my plan is to pay it forward. I’m on my way!
