I am a tenured university professor who has had a part-time therapy and coaching business for the last 22 years. I took the CLC program to understand better the differences between therapy and coaching. I have a solid understanding of the difference now and am considering the possibility of leaving my university position to build a full-time coaching business. I long for more freedom, a better sense of service, less stress, and a better salary than a teacher's salary. I have worked too hard and sacrificed too much to get to where I am (though I don't completely regret it, I want something different for the last third of my life). I am told I am an excellent therapist and now coach. I actually believe that, and experience the transformational power I have. I am now working on learning how to build a full-time business so that I can really explore the possibility of a full-time coaching/consulting business in a more informed way.
