I was fortunate to attend and graduate from the Mindvalley Certified Hypnotherapist training with Paul McKenna. The live sessions were are good as, or even better than, the videos. The techniques have been of immediate use and constant applicability in my daily practice as teacher trainer and researcher. I have helped some of my teacher trainees to pass tests and to complete tasks they thought they might be incapable of. I have lead workshops to help trainees to relax applying NLP, havening and other such techniques, which now they use to relax and have a change in the way they approach upcoming, unavoidable tasks both in their academic and personal lives.
The practices in the labs enabled me to overcome my fear of heights, to reduce procrastination, and obliterate misophonia. I have not had the chance to see if it also eliminated my fear of drowning, but I’m sure next time I’m near a pool or the sea, I will swim like a mermaid.
I am also an energy healer, which has been of use when it comes to help students, peer professors, and my daughters calm minor cases of anxiety, lack of confidence, or a broken heart. Now, thanks to the Certified Hypnotherapist training, I feel I can serve people around me better, sure that what I am doing has grounded bases. The academic formation my classes have make my trainees competent in their professional lives; my training as a Certified Hypnotherapist will contribute so they cope with the emotional and psychological issues they encounter in life.
Finally, as a person within the Autistic Spectrum Disorder, I have Asperger’s, the Certified Hypnotherapist training has made me feel stronger, more resourceful, and more self-confident. Stronger does not mean unbreakable but adaptable to the circumstances so I find the best solution for the challenges I am facing in my personal life, in my career, and at work.
Thank you Paul, Tina and Steve, as well as the people I shared lab practices with, for this amazing, new version of me.
