As a South African woman, Maye Musk (and Elon) have held a certain fascination for me. Maye is the epitome of style, grace and success.
It is easy to have pre-conceived ideas about successful people so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However, Maye is a lovely, open and down to earth woman and matriarch, who shares her story with ease, grace and gentle humour. She is a kind woman with a strong sense of duty to her family, herself and humanity.

What I absolutely loved and didn’t quite expect was her unwavering resilience, persistence and bravery. It quickly becomes apparent how many challenges and disappointments she had to endure. And with her beautiful, open smile, she recounts the steps she took to not only survive, but to ensure she thrives in a gracious and humble way.
As a remarkable matriarch, Maye’s pragmatic yet loving approach to motherhood is so inspirational. She ensured that her children were brave, resilient, resourceful and grounded. The importance of family and kindness, such strong values, are evident even now.
