Hi, I'm Gie, and my journey with Mindvalley's 'Mastering the Growth Mindset program began just six days ago.
Life before wasn't easy. As someone steering two startups – a digital marketing consultancy 'From My Lens' and 'Specialized English Academy' – the challenges were real. Being a 9x half-marathon runner and a former Vogue columnist added to my identity, but it didn't erase the struggles. Financial freedom isn´t around the corner; it´s a mountain I am still climbing but I am very optimistic that I will overcome these challenges very soon.
But what's changed in these six days is remarkable in subtler, deeper ways. Each session has been like a new brushstroke on a canvas, painting a clearer picture of who I am and who I can become.
My mornings start differently now. There's an optimism that wasn't there before. It's not about grand achievements overnight; it's about small, significant shifts. Practicing meditation and hypnosis daily has grounded me, giving me a sense of control and peace.
These changes might seem small, but they've already started making a difference. A notable affiliate marketing company reached out for a partnership – a step toward the future I envision. And the most exciting part? This feels like just the beginning.
Reflecting on my past and present – from Toronto to Vancouver, from being laid off to starting my own venture in 2020. And now living in the beautiful South of Portugal – I've realized that change has always been a part of my story. What Mindvalley is helping me with is framing this change positively, shaping my mindset to view every challenge as a stepping stone.
I’m not at the finish line yet. The path to being debt-free and achieving financial clarity is still in front of me. But now, there's a belief in myself that was missing before. This program has taught me that my identity and reality aren't fixed; they're something I can actively shape.
As I continue with Mindvalley, I'm not just looking for dramatic transformations. I'm cherishing these small shifts – in mindset, opportunities, and self-belief. They are the real victories, the kind that accumulate and lead to greater success.
This journey is mine, unique, and full of potential. And while I'm not standing at the pinnacle of financial freedom yet, the climb has become more meaningful. I look forward to each day with anticipation, ready to embrace the changes, and eager to see where this path takes me.
