As Steve Jobs famously put it 16 years ago, We only connect the dots looking backwards. So many things happened in the past 11 months... Forever grateful to this community for supporting me to get my first client, raise my fees twice, starting a group coaching program, give a TEDx talk, and just recently signed my first ever 10k client ?... Here are the details of this story... I started this BXC quest almost a year ago in June 2020 and immediately joined the masterminds that were happening then, while continuing the quest. Before starting this March-May 2021 mastermind (the 3rd one since joining this community), I felt last february that I became somehow comfortable as a part time coach, having few clients I would coach on evenings and weekends, making extra revenues. But it wasn't enough. It wasn't my dream as I described it while replying to the famous 3 year vision question Rich asks at the beginning of the quest. And everytime I would review Rich's teaching in the quest or read his words again from "The Prosperous Coach", I would feel deep inside me the high margin for progress that I could explore and optimize. I wanted to serve my clients more powerfully by investing more time into my passions learning/ studying more about high level coaching, cutting-edge neuroscience, most recent discoveries in quantum physics, timeless wisdom & spirituality, and managing an education/ personal growth company more effectively. Plus also having more time and financial margin to travel, have fun and doing new things as described in my amazing 3 year life plan. One year ago while taking the quest. I decided that I would turn pro this year February. Basically I set myself some quarterly milestones which were: getting my first paying clients before ending the quest (check), doing the necessary inner work and outer actions to double my fees every 3 months, leave my corporate HR Executive work and transition to full time coaching after 1 year. As suggested by Rich and reminded to me once in a mastermind session by Valeria, I put some savings aside to cover the first few months of professional full time coaching operations, and kick it off. And here is what the supportive community of coaches in this mastermind helped me to do: keeping me accountable for my decision of moving from 2K to 10K of coaching fees. Doing that change meant 10x-ing the fee I started with a year earlier for my first paying client then. I admit that I would probably have postponed putting that decision into execution, if this group of amazing weren't there to keep me on track and hosting this safe space much needed in sch a crazy leap. It was scary as a jump. Excitement in February faded and quickly got replaced by a feeling of chaos in March and April between impostor syndrome and fear of the unknown. But last weekend, when I landed that first client for my revised fees who said "Hell yes, Let's do this!", everything changed, fear of the unknown disappeared and was now replaced by intense joy and a feeling of conquered territory. Reaching this new milestone was a big shot of dopamine in my brain after almost 2 months of inner work and trials and errors, accumulating connections, invitations, creations, proposals, and lots of NOs... and finally this one YES which makes one forget the work that went into the process, rewarding belief with the best view ever: seeing one's dream come true. In addition, 3 major unexpected bonues were: 1- giving a TEDx talk in December 6 months after starting the quest, 2- joining Evercoach by Mindvalley and Mindvalley ambassadors team where I met more amazing people and had access to incredible resources to skyrocket my growth, (thank you Toma Mol for the support) 3- and now mentoring 5 life coaches in the US and globally to launch their coaching business (as part of another community where I got my first coaching training) Last week, I was having a personal retreat + social media detox to make an assessment of this first year in professional coaching, and definitely this BXC quest + community of Evercoach by Mindvalley and particularly the masterminds I was part of, have played a crucial role in me growing so much personally (10x perspective on life), and in business (10x growth in my coaching fees). The road hasn't always been smooth. Lots of self doubt has been overcome especially at the beginning. Every new connection, invitation, creation, proposal on the journey of signing a new client is a self discovery and coaching skills improvement process. Everytime I increased my fees, impostor syndrome made its come back and I had to learn to be present with that tension until the first person says "Hell yes!", setting me free to strive higher again. Here we are today. And all I can say is: "it's definitely worth it". This emotional roller coaster is what makes the learning and earning process beautiful when I look back at it, connecting the dots. And I'm honored to be part of this BXC movement of supporting high performers all around the world to give birth to their wildest dreams. Looking forward to co-creating an even brighter future, a bit scary while looking at these big dreams (my clients' and mine), but definitely more excited than ever before to bring them to form in this world.
