Hi Mindvalley fellow travellers, My name is Amy To, a mother of two teenage sons, aged 15 and 17. I live in Melbourne, Australia with Alan, who is my friend, business partner and husband.
I completed Conscious Parenting course in December, a time where I was on a crossroads with my life. I thought the changes were due to my children going through adolescence, my business was going through a change and I was questioning the quality of my relationship with my husband.
As I studied with Dr. Shefali and learning from fellow students, I quickly realised it was me, my internal world was unstable, uncertain and unsafe.
The journey was not easy but it was so worth it !!! There were a lot of soul digging, shaking, searching and rebuilding. It shook me from the inside out. Just like going through the journey of a caterpillar to a butterfly. Whilst most people admire the beauty of a butterfly, most forget the work done by the caterpillar in building the cocoon and having the courage to breakthrough it to fly.
Thank you, Dr. Shefali, for your authenticity, wisdom and humor in creating this amazing course. I am so grateful for your guidance and personal stories that true happiness comes when we unconditionally embrace our shadows and celebrate our light.
As I learn to honor my light, I learn to truly feel, see, listen and honor the light in my children, my husband, friends and others. We are all spiritual warriors. We are all here to use our unique talents to share and give to the world.
