"Ken’s Happy Money Course has been enlightening and freeing."

As an 8 year old girl in Utah being raised by my dad (a school counselor) and my mom (a hair dresser), my stable world tipped upside down with the divorce of my parents. Watching my mom scramble each month to survive on her own is unnerving to me. Seeing her work multiple jobs, exhausted, scared, anxious and constantly worried she won’t have enough money, ingrains a sense of lack in my being. “Will we have enough?” The thought lingers in my head as I cry myself to sleep at night. Splitting time between my parents is challenging, and while staying at my dad’s small basement apartment, I hear him complain about having to pay child support and alimony. He regularly says, “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” to my brother and I, so I stop asking for things and worry about my parents and brother on a regular basis. Fast forward into my adulthood, and I’m what Ken Honda would categorize as a Saver/Worrier.
Ken’s Happy Money Course has been enlightening and freeing. It has helped me realize how much fear, doubt and worry I inherited from my parents and ancestors. The best part is, Ken teaches the importance of letting go of fear and choosing love instead. The meditations Ken guided us through allowed me to see my parents, grandparents and great grandparents from a different point of view. It helped bring awareness to the fact that many Savers and Worriers exist on both sides of my family.
Going through the course allowed my heart and mind to more fully open to forgiveness and embrace the fact that they were all doing the best they could. I’ve recognized that even though unhappy money has weaved its way through my family tree, it’s possible to change the flow into Happy Money and alter our circumstances for the better. This information has been life-changing. One of the greatest lessons I learned in the Happy Money Course is the importance of saying, “Arigato,” every day. Instead of feeling stressed when spending money or paying bills, I thank my money for being able to pay my expenses and express gratitude for being able to give gifts to others. I’m working on creating a larger money container for myself, and it feels great! The Happy Money Course has allowed me to have an open dialogue with my parents about their childhoods and the money beliefs they inherited from their parents. It has been incredibly healing for all of us. I’ve done the ancestor meditation repeatedly and have noticed a positive shift in energy with my parents. To my surprise, my mom suddenly decided to downsize her home and is now in the process of moving to a location she loves. Miraculously, my dad has decided to open himself up to new possibilities and seems happier and more at ease than ever before. As a result of practicing a Happy Money mindset every day, I have experienced wonderful synchronicities. I received a pay raise at work in January, I welcomed with open arms the Happy Money book as a gift from Ken, I won a $400 prize a couple of weeks ago, was gifted $800 of skin care product I adore and had a situation unfold yesterday that has healed the grief I’ve been suffering from for almost a year due to the passing of my best friend. I am in awe. I believe all of these incredible things have happened because I am now focused on living in a state of Happy Money flow. The statement, “Maro Up,” has great meaning to me, and it is my intention to live each day this way. I so appreciate learning the concept of Happy Money from Ken Honda and his mentor, Wahei Takeda. Feeling inner contentment and gratitude is a daily occurrence now. I’m grateful for all that I have and all that I plan to create. Telling my friends and family about Happy Money has been fun! I’ll be teaching my niece and nephew (ages 9 and 12) about Happy Money when they come visit, so I’m looking forward to that. After sharing the concept of Happy Money with a close friend last month, he began practicing appreciation each day and just learned he’s been promoted to a new position that will provide a $20,000 raise in pay! This stuff really works! Arigato, Ken Honda, for bringing your wisdom, your energy and your Happy Money book to the USA. I got the opportunity to travel to beautiful Japan a few years ago to perform some of my original music at a global convention held at the Tokyo Dome. It was an outstanding experience. Japan was a gracious host, and I look forward to returning in the future. What a blessing to have connected with you and the other participants through the live Happy Money Course. The fearful 8 year old I once was has now blossomed into the happy woman I am today. Because of your teachings, I choose love over fear, and I trust that happiness will continue to flow through me and my money. I intend to continue practicing Happy Money flow for the rest of my life.
