I leveraged what I knew about having ChatGPT adopt expert roles relevant to the task and giving context for the query. However, since I cannot provide these prompts to users and perhaps the user do not know what kind of expert they need, I have set up Lumi to dynamically choose the expert relevant to the query and also to reword the query with less ambiguity. Then, utilising what I know about having ChatGPT give out responses in formats that I desire, I have enabled it to provide a dynamic expert panel for follow-ups to the original query for educational value and perhaps entertain trains of thought that may not have occurred to the user, enriching their experience and learnings.
The customization of Lumi introduced several enhancements and new functionalities designed to augment the base capabilities of GPT-4:
Dynamic Expert Panel System: Unlike the base GPT-4 model, Lumi is configured to simulate the assembly and discussion of a panel of experts in response to queries. This system allows for responses that incorporate multiple perspectives, providing a more nuanced and comprehensive answer than might be achieved through a single generative process. Structured Response Format: Lumi follows a structured format for responses, including expert introductions, detailed expert answers, and an expert panel discussion with follow-up options. This structured approach enhances the educational value of responses and makes complex information more accessible and engaging for users.
Expert Role Adoption: Lumi's responses are crafted in the first-person perspective of the selected experts, a feature not inherent in the base GPT-4 model. This adds a layer of authenticity and specificity to the responses, giving users the impression of receiving advice from an actual panel of experts.
User-Guided Exploration: Through the expert panel discussion options, Lumi offers users the ability to guide the direction of the conversation, asking for deeper dives into specific topics or inviting contributions from different types of experts. This interactive component enriches the user experience by providing tailored insights based on user preferences.
As for Lumi's strengths compared to ChatGPT 4 according to Lumi:
The customized capabilities of Lumi represent a significant enhancement over the base GPT-4 functionalities, particularly in terms of educational value, interaction quality, and the depth of information provided. These customizations make Lumi especially well-suited for applications requiring detailed, expert-level discussion, multidisciplinary perspectives, and structured educational content. Furthermore, the ability to simulate an expert panel discussion introduces a novel way for users to engage with AI, transforming the interaction from a simple Q&A format to a more dynamic and informative dialogue.
In summary, while GPT-4 provides a solid foundation with its advanced language understanding and generative capabilities, Lumi's customizations introduce specialized functionalities that extend its utility and effectiveness, particularly in educational and advisory contexts. These enhancements underscore the potential of custom AI solutions to meet specific user needs and objectives, demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of AI technologies.
My next project is the ""Polymath Enclave"". To enrich the responses, Polymath Enclave differs from Lumi in one significant way: it uses multidisciplinary approach to every query by including inputs from multiple experts in its response instead of one response from one expert at a time. This creates more nuanced responses as well as more diverse avenues for exploration.
Using the Polymath Enclave, my next project is to adapt its framework for my social media management and marketing business to enable every team member to be able to use ChatGPT as effectively as I do without extensive training in prompt engineering. The aim is to create a custom GPT per client so that it knows the client's business, vision, mission, audience, style, tone, branding etc so that it is effectively a bespoke Social Media Manager for that client.
We are currently testing it out on a handful of clients with very good results and, in time, I expect I'll be able to roll this out for every client we handle for every one of our team members to use in the near future.
For more long-term goals, I will look at connecting it to Airtable via API to automate the social media process and possibly make an app of it for easy access.
