I am working as a consultant for a Property Management company. My background is, in a big part, in vacation rentals. This company is quite tech savvy. A huge part of their image is just that, being technologically advanced, but they had no AI features. A month ago I did a Discovery Course with all of their employees (it is a small company, around 15 employees) for just 3 hours, with some class time, Q&A and some practical knowledge. This was extremely hard since it is a very short period of time with a huge topic and with people in many different roles, tech levels, etc. However, at the end of the class, they were told to add at least one AI implementation to their OKRs. They have all done so, some more defined, some less, but they all have something and they are all excited to learn. Since then I have been working with each of them (haven’t gone through all yet) and managed to get some goals down:
- Created the GPT for Onboarding, trained to do the descriptions how they like, in both English and Spanish, and separated into the topics they find useful. This takes a job that usually took them about an hour and a half, down to just 10-15 minutes, winning over an hour for each new property onboarded.
- Marketing is using Hitpaw to enhance images that are not at the quality level for OTA’s and marketing material. The ideal scenario is to have professional and good quality photos, the reality is that they don't always get this from the owners and that was causing a lot of delays, and raking issues in channels. This has saved them a lot of pain, and they are able to put the properties on the market right away, without waiting until they get the good images from the owners.
- I have introduced and taught the COO about fireflies which has definitely saved him already more than 10 hours a month. He is inviting Fireflies to all meetings and then uses the summaries and action points to send follow-up emails, which saves him over 15 mins/call (and is more complete), and he is also using it for meetings he can't attend, especially training. This way he can read the recap, ask the internal bot any questions he has about the meeting to understand what happened in 10 minutes instead of having to watch full recordings of an hour.
- With HR we have created the first job description using AI which is not only faster to make, but it also saves a lot of iterations that they previously used to make
- IT was also changing how the website was taking the information from our PMS, so there was a huge project which involved translating a bunch of fields from 300+ properties and uploading them to different fields in our PMS. This would have easily taken 45-50 hours to do completely manually. Thanks to a super simple automation with AI, we managed to translate a bulk file, create another, and send it to our PMS to upload bulk. The entire process took about 3 hours. Already so many things have been achieved and more to come in the next month or two, until we get the entire team, and therefore the company, to be more productive and efficient!
I started teaching what I was learning to a small group of friends and family friends as I was starting the AI Mastery program. Now we are in a stage where we wanted to put into use the tools that we have been learning. We brought to ChatGPT 3 projects/businesses that we actually wanted to do, for ChatGPT to analyze individually (do a market research, with competitors, market trends, etc) and a SWOT analysis. Then we asked it to compare the 3 with pros and cons, and finally, we reached the decision of which business idea to pursue. Then we used the same ChatGPT conversation to help us come up with a name, slogan, and a bland identity and we also asked it for some prompts for ideas for the logo.
Parallel to the AI Mastery Course, I have been teaching what I learn in a more condensed way and in Spanish. With my first course, I didn't have the knowledge yet, but for my second course, I implemented a couple of the tools I have learned during the course to provide a better experience.
My personal use of AI: I have tried several contraceptive methods over the years. All with side effects and complications. So finally I have decided to try the natural method. I had been searching for a while for an app to use for this but they were either too expensive or too basic (so not worth paying anything for that). When we learned about MyGPTs I figured this could give me the same or better tracking than the basic apps and at no cost (or no extra cost). I trained a GPT with my information about my past periods and gave him knowledge about the menstrual cycle (I used perplexity to do and organize my research) and prompt it in what information I would give it and what kind of information I wanted from it (I used chatGPT to help me formulate its own prompts and instructions). I have been using mine chatGPT for almost 3 complete cycles, and, although there is more I want from it, I think it does a much better job than most apps out there.
