Before starting the AI Mastery Quest, I felt a deep frustration with how East Africa and Africa as a whole lagged behind in adopting transformative technologies. I saw immense potential for artificial intelligence to revolutionize businesses and workflows, but I lacked the skills to be a catalyst for change. My vision was clear: to empower businesses in my region to lead in innovation, not play catch-up, and position Kenya as a leader in AI-driven transformations.
Through this Quest, I immersed myself in learning how to build AI agents, Custom GPTs, Intergrating APIs, automate workflows, and integrate AI into both personal and professional contexts. I applied this knowledge immediately in my workplace, identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and efficiency. Beyond that, I took on the role of an advocate and mentor, spreading the message that jobs won’t be lost to AI itself but to individuals who know how to use it. I’ve actively encouraged my team to embrace AI, provided guidance on its use, and fostered a mindset of growth and adoption within my environment.
The Quest has been transformational. I’ve empowered my team and colleagues to adapt to the changing technological landscape, sparking innovation and improved productivity. On a personal level, I’ve developed a daily habit of using AI to enhance every aspect of my work and life, enabling me to solve problems with greater creativity and efficiency. Most importantly, I’ve become a catalyst for change, inspiring others to embrace AI and contributing to the broader mission of making East Africa leaders in AI-driven business transformation.
