My conversations with a number potential colleagues became smooth and easy
Andrew used the Three Scenes technique to transform challenging recruitment conversations for his environmental movement. Immediately afterward, potential colleagues began offering their skills and connections effortlessly, turning what had been difficult pitches into smooth, productive partnerships.
Given that humanity is well down the path of ecological self-destruction through climate change, species loss, and host of other environmental issues, I am catalysing a movement to turn things around. The platform is Inspiring Transition.net. Although I have had some success in recruiting colleagues (we have a small international network), prior to the course I often had conversations with highly intelligent, well-informed people with positive values for whom ‘the penny did not drop’. That is, although they saw the need for a movement along the lines I describe, it did not click that they should devote part of their efforts to make it happen. So, I did the Three Scenes technique on ‘having the penny drop’. Immediately my conversations with a number potential colleagues became smooth and easy. One, an anthropologist and games developer in India, offered to turn my Kitchen Table Conversations Kit into an online game. A consultant in London said,” You will need an animation. I will contact an animator.” An event marketer in Australia immediately began to introduce me to people with highly influential networks. And yesterday spiritual leader Andrew Harvey agreed to be on our Advisory Panel. Effortless!
