Before this program, I was always trying to control my children and their feelings and their interactions with one another. But of course, it was impossible to do, yet I felt it was my job as their mother to fix and correct and command them. This course with Dr. Shefali truly was mind-blowing and opened my mind to so many truths. As someone who has studied the eastern wisdom traditions, my aha moment was that this quest was finally aligning together for me everything I had read about “letting go of my ego” but in the context of parenting. We parents spend a lot of time with our kids and if parenting can lead to our spiritual awakening, what an amazing concept!! That’s when I knew this quest was for me. There is a reason my children were given to me so that they could be my spiritual teachers and me their spiritual guide! This concept has shifted so much for me and changed my energy towards my kids especially as I have let go of the common myths and expectations that Dr. Shefali explains in the Quest!
