Before I started this quest, I had done basic 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training but as I live in Hong Kong, I did it in Cantonese and the teacher did her best to translate into English. The group of women was very mixed ability and the teacher did not demand a lot from us. She did not ask for the essays at the end that I have heard that others need to write. It was also done during lock down so dates were a bit random and sometimes online. I felt a bond with fellow classmates and I am so grateful that I could do it but I did not finish with the sense of mastery I was hoping for. I already feel the level of this quest is right for me. I want to feel challenged. I know I need Yoga to transform my life. I have so much emotion inside that cannot seem to be released simply with meditation. It is trapped in the body; I can feel it. I also have a neurological challenge which makes my system sensitive and during my menstrual cycle, difficult to control.
