Reinventing Yourself

“I went from being quiet to expressing myself and publishing my work”

I enrolled in this community to mingle with people who want to succeed in something they love. I was always the quiet person in the crowd. I listen more than I speak by choice, but there were times when I wanted to speak, but was always too slow to get a word in. However, writing was my comfort zone. I could say anything when I am writing. After all, no one will ever see it. I told myself. All my life, this has been my case. Writing poems, devotionals, and short stories was not a talent for me. Here is where I express myself. One day, I was asked to write down my fears and to create a piece in free style, either in writing or in a video. As a freestyle, I recited a poem, which was well received. At work, I was asked to help our students write a book, and staff were encouraged to write one as well. I was given the privilege to write one, and I did. That short story was well-received as well. This encouraged me to pursue a career in this field. However, self-confidence held me back. I have published a book on Amazon and posted two poems on YouTube. Which brings me to where I am with Mindvalley learning and growing.
