“Instead of a layoff, I was offered a brand new AI Architect role created for me”

Before this program, I...
wasn't sure AI could change my life. My wife Sabrina had to convince me to join AI Mastery in July 2024. I was a Program Manager at AMD. Competent, respected, but quietly restless.
I was dabbling with AI tools but had no framework, no methodology, and no confidence that what I was building outside of work hours actually mattered.
Now, Thanks to this program, I...
found the methodologies that turned experimentation into expertise. AI Mastery taught me the mindset (as Vyk says), laid out the various tools, that allows the potential of AI powered ideas to cook and marinate.
Vishen's AI-Driven Storytelling session in particular rewired how I showed up on LinkedIn.
I stopped hiding. I started building in public.
The results surprised even me. Mindvalley recognized my work and awarded me the AI Artist Award. And then invited me back for 2025, where I won it again. I am a two-time AI Artist Award winner. That wasn't on my bingo card.
But the bigger transformation was happening in parallel.
My public AI journey on LinkedIn caught the attention of a senior engineering leader at AMD, a former colleague of mine. Who had been watching my posts for an entire year.
In November 2025, instead of the layoff I feared, I was offered a brand new role:
Applied AI Architect. A title that didn't exist at AMD until they created it for me.
I keynoted Illoominate 2025, speaking to hundreds on "Watering the Roots: The Human Foundation of AI Success."
I delivered AI automation solutions to local businesses.
I launched YDaaS — my first AI product.
I was nominated for the King Chamber of Commerce Excellence in New Business Award.
And all of this outside of a full-time corporate job, as a husband and father of two elementary-school-aged kids in Ontario, Canada.
And now, my life is...
operating at a level I genuinely didn't think was possible 18 months ago. I run Your AI Backpack, my empathy-driven AI consultancy.
I architect AI adoption strategy for a Fortune 500 company.
I'm producing "Foundation", a 30-minute AI feature film.
And my family and I will be in Tallinn for Mindvalley University 2026, where I intend to show my children exactly who has been the biggest catalyst in their daddy's transformation.
Mindvalley gave me the belief that I was allowed to use AI tools and conduct them at full power.
With thanks and gratitude. Vishen and team have enabled me to STEP INTO MY GREATNESS.
And now I look to educate, inspire and uplift thousands of others to find theirs.
